Open Question: Being that the term "homosexual" wasn't coined until the 19th century how can the bible be against it...?
if the bible was apparently written way before the 19th century? If the word didn't exist then obviously it wasn't included in the original bible. It's every just interpretation. The bible does not say "don't have gay sex" so any other phrases people claim talk out against gays is every just their interpretation. Ahh good old Levticus. Let's make sure we're stoning our women and not eating shellfish and not wearing mixed cloths!!! Oh wait, you're cherry picking. Maybe the 2 dudes are just taking a nap.

Open Question: How much do you value a penny?
The other day I saw a guy receive just a penny back in change. He took it, walked to the doors, and threw it out into the parking lot! I was like, "Why in the world did you do that?" He said, "What? It's just a penny, it's not worth anything." I always keep my change! I adore finding coins on the ground. I always put the coins I receive in a jar. A penny might not be much, but it's still money. It can add up! I've heard people say before that we should just discontinue pennies, they're worthless and the government makes them at a loss. What do you think?

Open Question: Why is it that on some coins, there are these little ridges on the sides?
Now why would I want to know something like that? Well~ Real Fact #898 (on the inside of a Snapple bottle cap) states that: "The ridges on the sides of coins are called reeding or milling." Now I suppose that a more precise way to state my question would be: Why is it that some coins have reeding/milling? Meh. I'm just a bit curious about that :P Thanks to anyone who helps answer my question!

Open Question: please add compound complex sentence (for 5 sentences)?
Is it really justice for every? “I pledge allegiance to my flag and the republic for which it stands: one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for every.” Those beautiful words were written by Francis Bellamy in 1892, but little did he know that it would soon guide to a heap of controversies. In 1954, the pledge of allegiance was edited to "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation below God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for every,” adding the phrase below God. But are we really below God? The fact is that not every of America believes in God let alone below God. You may have heard that the problem is the word ‘God’ in the pledge, but recently there has been papers defining the word ‘below’. In an essay written by John Kyff, he talks about why are we just below God. ” Our government declares that the People are "below" God, not "within," God or "over," God, or "around" God or "One with" God,” Kyff quotes. Through Johns Eyes, the government has no rights using the preposition ‘below’ in the pledge of allegiance. On dollar bills and coins, it just says “In God We Trust,” which does not state are relationship with God. Most of America believes in their possess God or gods, so I think it’s fair to say that most of us trust in our God. Saying that we are below God is the government stamping our back on how we should relate to God…which is not impartial? So what happened? On February 2007 in Virginia, State Senator Warren E. Barry introduced a bill making the recitation of the pledge of allegiance mandatory for every public school in Virginia. In doing this, Senator Barry violated his oath of office, in which he promised to uphold the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Supreme Court has interpreted the Constitution as implying that anyone has the right to refrain from reciting the Pledge. below his bill, any student who refused to recite the pledge, without a valid philosophical or religious objection, would be suspended. Delegate Robert G. Marshall suggested that the bill be amended to require school buildings carry the national motto. The amendments were rejected by the Senate Education and Health Committee. It has been said that if you have a problem with saying the words “below God” skip over it. No one really has to say the whole pledge of allegiance. To me, the pledge should be changed to “…One nation, in God we Trust, with liberty…” if everyone is not glad with the “below God” phrase. I respect the pledge of allegiance just the way it is, but should the worries be on what is said in the allegiance or how much of America actually says the pledge of allegiance. also can you revise the essay and tell me what i would get

Open Question: How to deal with wife's frequent bursts of anger?
On a regular basis--seems like at least once a day, sometimes more, my wife gets extremely mad. Usually it happens when she is frustrated (something not happening the way she wants) and is exacerbated when she is sleepy. Sometimes I'm the target, sometimes not. She is not really an "mad person" per se--but she has lots of "energy" and will also be very glad, unhappy etc. But she gets very easily upset and mad about things--about tiny things as well as global/national "big things" The thing is--I don't like the anger--it often seems irrational and out of the proportion to the incident (eg where are the f'n keys!? who put these coins there? why didn't we receive the damn coffee etc.) often accompanied by the "f" word, and I find it to be rather exhausting. Rational explanations about the content don't seem to matter; when she's not mad, and I bring this up, she says she will try to not do this, but it never lasts...It seems she gets totally "caught up in the moment" and can't step outside of her experience/emotions. Thoughts? Tips? Strategies?

Open Question: Are There Devil's In The Vatican?
Sex abuse scandals in the Roman Catholic Church are proof that that "the Devil is at work inside the Vatican", according to the Holy look's chief exorcist. dad Gabriele Amorth, 85, who has been the Vatican's chief exorcist for 25 years and says he has dealt with 70,000 cases of demonic possession, said that the consequences of satanic infiltration included power struggles at the Vatican as well as "cardinals who do not believe in Jesus, and bishops who are linked to the Demon". He added: "When one speaks of 'the smoke of Satan' [a phrase coined by Pope Paul VI in 1972] in the holy rooms, it is every true – including these latest stories of violence and paedophilia." He claimed that another example of satanic behaviour was the Vatican "cover-up" over the deaths in 1998 of Alois Estermann, the then commander of the Swiss Guard, his wife and Corporal Cedric Tornay, a Swiss Guard, who were every found shot dead. "They covered up everything immediately," he said. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/faith/article7056689.ece

Open Question: This really means a lot if you could please help me with this!!!!!!!!!!!?
This excerpt is from the book Crabgrass Frontiers: The Suburbanization of the United States by Kenneth T. Jackson. Read it, and then answer the questions below. It was not until 1952 that Kemmons Wilson and Wallace E. Johnson opened their first “Holiday Inn” on Summer Avenue in Memphis. But long before that, in 1926, a San Luis Obispo, California, proprietor had coined a new word, “motel,” to describe an establishment that allowed a guest to park his car just outside his room. . . . . . . Motels began to thrive after World War II . . . Major chains set standards for prices, services and respectability that the traveling public could depend on. As early as 1948, there were 26,000 self-styled motels in the United States. difficult-won respectability attracted more middle-class families, and by 1960 there were 60,000 such places, a figure that doubled again by 1972. By that time an old hotel was closing somewhere in downtown America every thirty hours. And somewhere in suburban America, a plastic and glass Shangri La was rising to take its place. 1. What did the rise of motels indicate? 2. Does the increase in motels suggest that there were more foreign tourists visiting the United States during the 1950s? Explain why or why not. 3. By how much does Jackson say that the number of motels increased from 1948 to 1960? What reason does he give for this trend? 4. What was the result of this increase in motels?

Open Question: Integer to Float problems in C?
I've a program I've been working on for a while and I just have one more thing I need to display. Background: The variables I'm using for this section: int Total[MaxJ]; int MinCoins = 10000; int Winner; int J = 121, T = 200, L = 100, Q = 25, D = 10, N = 5, P = 1; float Toonie, Jonnie, Loonie, Quarter, Dime, Nickel, Penny; int Toonies[MaxJ], Loonies[MaxJ], Quarters[MaxJ], Dimes[MaxJ], Nickels[MaxJ], Pennies[MaxJ]; So... The input was taken in as a float called Money and I converted that to a decimal by multiplying it by 100 and storing it in int Amount (I also have a problem of a missing penny in this case. I ended up adding 1 this this value and that worked... but i imagine its some nice of rounding mistake). I went through a whole for loop to fill the arrays for each coin (ie Toonies[], Loonies[], etc) MaxJ just refers to the maximum number of a coin value (Jonnies). After this I have another for loop that cycles through and determines which Total number of coins is the least and assigned the value of " i " to the variable Winner. Problem Section This is what I had before (for every coin value) if(Toonies[Winner] != 0) { printf("\n%d Toonies\n", Toonies[Winner]); } So, for $15.78 it would display "6 Toonies" and cycle through each coin value and display how many of each coin was needed. Now I'm trying to add in the dollar value for each one. So if I have 6 toonies then that will add on $12.00. So I tried this... if(Toonies[Winner] != 0) { Toonie = (Toonies[Winner] * T) / 100; printf("\n%d Toonies $%5.2f\n", Toonies[Winner], Toonie); } Works great for Toonies and Loonies... but not for the Jonnie, which is $1.21 and quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies... The way I look it is it takes the number of toonies (say 6) multiplies that by 200, which would arrive up with 1200 right? then it would divide that by 100, moving the decimal point over so it should be 12.00... which it is... But say, for the Jonnies (where I have 3) it would be 3 * 121 which would be 363. Divide that by 100 and it should be 3.36 right? but it drops the decimal values and just sayd 3.00... for $15.78 it shows 6 Toonies $12.00 3 Jonnies $3.00 1 Dime $0.00 1 Nickel $0.00 The LEAST number of coins is: 11 Why is it cutting off the decimals? and how can I fix this??
